   Join us January 13 when Kimberly and Kassandra Sandstrom present, “Social Media & Therapy – how to navigate the realm both personally & professionally.”  How can you as a therapist use Social Media professionally and what are the ethical restrictions of this new media?  Kimberly and Kassandra will be discussing a recent survey to address the myths and facts of Social Media and the future of therapist marketing as well as how you can develop a Social Media “personality” to use these rising trends to your advantage. You will also learn practical tips on how to privatize personal pages to keep ethical boundaries with clients and develop a Social Media Policy.  Kimberly Sandstrom is a MFT intern in private practice specializing in Emotionally Focused Therapy, EMDR, grief counseling, and special clinical training with treating couples after affairs.  She has engaged in research surrounding therapists and social media marketing.  Kassandra Sandstrom is a San Diego Social Media Consultant. She is currently studying Business Communications at Point Loma Nazarene University, focusing on the transparency social media creates in the workplace.

Dr. David Shores – November 4, 2011

This month, Dr. David Shores, Doctor of Chiropractic, will present “Stored Emotions and Chronic Pain”  looking at the link between chronic pain and stored emotions. He will present a possible model to correlate pain to emotions as well as the methods he uses to determine if emotions are contributing to a patients pain and how to release stored emotional tension.  Dr. Shores has been a practicing chiropractor in North County San Diego since 1995. His specialty is helping those that suffer with chronic pain. His mission is to discover tools and techniques that deliver results for the chronic pain sufferer.  He brings his Christian perspective to this fascinating topic.
