Elaine Hamilton, LMFT and author of “Church on the Couch – does the church need therapy?” will present at our next meeting, Friday April 3, 2009 (11:30 am- 1pm). Elaine is a graduate of Bethel Seminary and has a private practice in Mission Valley. She speaks to groups and conventions regularly and recently presented at the Nation Pastor’s Conference in February.
Elaine will challenge us to look at both ourselves and our churches with an eye towards authenticity – are we “real” at church? She will help us to consider how we as therapists, given our skill-sets and professional experience, can be effective in fostering authenticity in our church communities.
Elaine will have copies of her book available for sale. This will be an excellent presentation to invite friends and church workers (pastors, chaplains, Bible teachers, etc.). For directions click here. Please RSVP no later than March 27 – firstname.lastname@example.org.
